This quality program is provided to you by Leadership Educators.

Leadership Educators are a trained group of students affiliated with the Office of Leadership Development. Leadership Educators present workshops on various topics to clubs and organizations, as well as offers consults with groups and officers who want to increase the effectiveness of their organization. They are available to attend retreats, meetings, educational sessions and classes.

Michelle Guobadia

The 2016 ALF Keynote Speaker:
Michelle Guobadia

Michelle is the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she oversees over 37 fraternities and sororities.

A member of the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors, she graduated from Noth Carolina State University in May 2005 with a Masters in Higher Education Administration. Michelle was the 2005 recipient of the ACPA Standing Committee for Graduate Students and New Professionals Outstanding Master's Student Award, the 2005 North Carolina State University Graduate Assistant Award for Excellence, and the 1st place winner of the 2004 AFA/Order of Omega Case Study competition. She has served as an intern for UIFI (Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute), a graduate and scholarship winner of IFI 2006, a member of the 2003 AFA Graduate Staff at the Annual Conference, and was a NODA (National Orientation Directors Association) intern in the Summer of 2004 at Northeastern University in Boston.

Michelle received the 2011 Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values Steven B. Deaplh Outstanding Professional Award. She received the 2009 Greek Professional of the Year award from Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity and at UNC Charlotte she is the 2010 recipient of the Gerald Spates Advising award from the UNC Charlotte Black Student Union.

Michelle received her bachelor's degree from the University of Deleware in the Spring of 2003.

In addition to working at UNC Charlotte, Michelle is a member of the AFA Foundation Board and is a faciliator and speaker for CAMPUSPEAK, Inc. where she facilitates RBC (Recruitment Book Camp), Crossing the Line Anti-Hazing program, LINK, and S.A.L.A.D. (Seeking Alliances through Leadership and Diversity). Michlle is also the writer and creator for the INTAKE EQUATION, the recruitment program for black and culturally based greek-lettered organizations. A Fla 2000 initiate of the Chi Theta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc, and an active and financial member of the Delta Zeta Graduate Chapter, Michelle is a regular presenter at student and professional conferences. She has presented at Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values Conference, National Black Greek Leadership and Values Conference, National Black Greek Leadership Conference, Northeast Greek Leadership Association and the AFA Annual Meeting just to name a few.
